Dr Harris is a doctor invested in making a positive impact
Family Medicine Doctor
Dr Harris is the founder and owner of Harris Family Health, Flint’s first direct primary care clinic. She provides membership based care to adults in children in the Flint and Genesee County area. Through Harris Family Health, she provides comprehensive and accessible care to improve health outcomes.
Physician Advocate
Dr Harris is the Advocacy Committee Chair of the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians where she helps address health policy in Michigan that impacts family medicine physicians and Michigan residents. She has local, state, and federal experiences advocating for health access and health equity issues.
Community Resource
Dr Harris works with diverse community partners in the Flint area to provide health education to improve health outcomes. Social determinants of health impact every patient and Dr Harris believes caring for the community also means being involved and being a resource in the community.

Speaker
Dr Harris has spoken to diverse audiences across Michigan and in multiple states in America. She has talked about health education, health access issues, health disparity challenges, health policy, and her own medical and entrepreneurial journey.
Medical Educator
Dr Harris an Assistant Professor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine where she works as the Assistant Director of the Leadership in Medicine for the Underserved and the Assistant Director for the Family Medicine Clerkship Flint Campus.
Health Writer
Dr Harris has experience doing health education writing for the Flint Courier News, one of Michigan’s oldest black owned newspapers. She was also the Climate and Environmental Health Director of Young Gifted Green, where she created content connecting climate change and health impact.
