Dr Harris’ advocacy experiences span local efforts in Flint, Michigan and expand into Michigan and Federal health policy initiatives and concerns. She is focused on efforts to improve health access and health equity from health care cost affordability and Medicaid access to climate change and minority health concerns.

Dr Harris is the Advocacy Committee Chair of the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians and also a active member of the Committee to Protect Health Care and the Michigan Clinicians for Climate Action.
